SMS Consent for Case Notifications
Pine Technologies provides case management software for courts and legal agencies.
Individuals may receive SMS notifications when their mobile phone number is provided during court case intake, citation issuance, payment setup, or other legal case processes.
How Consent is Collected
When providing a phone number, individuals are presented with a disclosure similar to the following:
"By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Pine Technologies regarding your court case, including reminders, updates, and payment notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help."
Consent is obtained either:
- Directly from the individual during court intake
- Through signed or acknowledged court documents
- Through law enforcement or court staff entering the number during case processing

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
